Thank you
Barbara Billingsley, June Cleaver in the popular TV series 'Leave It To Beaver,' died at age 94 this October.
June Cleaver was a stereotypical 50s housewife who wore heels and pearls all the while vacuuming and baking cookies. Billingsley described her character to the LA Times as 'the ideal mother.' While pearls were commonly worn as depicted in the show, not many are aware of the real reason Billingsley always wore pearls. Billingsley had a distinctive hollow spot in her neck, which pearls were used to cover during filming.
While you may not have a child like 'the Beav' at home, you can still look polished and well dressed as June Cleaver.
June Cleaver knew that outfits weren't complete without accessories and jewelry. Take the time the night before to pull together tomorrow's outfit.
Mrs. Cleaver often wore pretty dresses; though, today's June Cleaver would be just as at home in a pair of well-tailored jeans or dress pants. You don't always have to pay a high price to find well-tailored clothing - but it should fit you well without stretching or being too loose. Invest in a tailor to customize your clothing just for you.
Take an extra look to make sure your outfit is perfectly accessorized...with pearls!
