Oldest Man in the World Turns 114 and Shares Pearls of Wisdom
This week the oldest man in the world turned 114 years old.
According to the Daily Mail, Walter Breuning celebrated with birthday cake and
sharing pearls of wisdom gathered over the years.
Everyone attending his birthday party was curious to know the secret to living a long and happy life.
Mr. Breuning believes one of the top secrets to a long and happy life is hard work. He worked until he was 99 in a management job.
Another important secret Mr. Breuning knows is to eat healthy. He now eats only two meals a day.
Mr. Breuning says it is also so valuable to be kind to other people. That when you help others, “you’re actually helping yourself even more.”
He was born in Melrose, Minnesota on September 21, 1896. He moved to Great Falls, Montana in 1918 and has lived there since. Mr. Breuning has outlived his siblings but they too have lived long lives also, ranging in age from 78, 85, 91 and 100. His grandparents also lived until their 90’s.
