Michele Obama First Lady Michelle Obama is currently being criticized by many American designers for the dress she recently wore to a State Dinner with China. The dress was made by a British designer which caused uproar in the fashion industry. Although the First Lady looked glamorous as always, many people believe that because she is politically representing the United States, she should always support American fashion as well. In response to this disagreement, Michelle Obama responded with a simple, “Look, women, wear what you love.”

Michelle Obama has been recognized for her classy yet glamorous style since day one. Michele Obama She has been known to resemble Jacqueline Kennedy when wearing simple dresses and double-stranded pearls. Obama always puts together a thoughtful outfit and tops it off with the perfect piece of jewelry, such as pearl earrings. She tends to make a feminine, chic outfit look great and comfortable too! Obama wears outfits that you would typically think a First Lady would wear, but she also surprises us with bright colors or floral patterns. There is never one right way to dress, and Obama does a great job at showing American women this. The First Lady truly has become an American Icon.

“Look, women, wear what you love.” These are wise words to women. No matter what happens to be in style or what others may expect you to wear, it should make you happy.
