Six Ton "Pearl"

The "pearl" is actually a stone comprised mostly of a fluorite mineral, which glows green in the dark and is prized more highly than diamonds in China. This lovely large stone was first found in Inner Mongolia and those who discovered it then spend three years grinding and polishing the raw gem of the pearl into its current beautiful round shape. The bright green pearl is available today on viewing in Hainan in southern China so potential buyers and admirers can see it. Its measurements have been taken for a possible world record.

Some have thought this bright green pearl may glow in the dark. With its unique color, it certainly may have that ability. The color is quite unique. But this special "pearl" has another gift from called Chintamani – as a wish fulfilling jewel this luminous and shining stone can help to make your dreams come true. This is a belief held by the Buddhist religion. The color is thought to come from fluorite in the stone. The stone is fluorescent – so it does emit a gentle glow in the night.

The traditional Chintamani is done while one carries the jewel and recites a prayer. At 6 tons, carrying this lovely gem could be quite difficult! But a 5 foot tall glowing "pearl" could make any pearl lover’s dreams come true – so it is easy to see it making other wonderful dreams come true.
