Princess Diana Pearl Earrings

On September 24th pearl lovers and royal watchers are in for a real treat. According to ProfessionalJeweler.com, a pearl and diamond necklace worn by Princess Diana will be auctioned off at Guernesey’s auction house in New York City.

This stunning necklace was worn by the Princess to a performance of Swan Lake.

The pearl and diamond necklace will be auctioned with a pair of matching earrings. The earrings were still being created during the time of Princess Diana’s death. The pearl and diamond necklace and earrings are valued at between $150,000 and $250,000. They were created by The Crown Jeweller and Garrard.

Princess Diana Pearl & Diamond Necklace

The necklace is beautiful and has South Sea pearl and lovely diamonds on it. In total you’ll admire 5 cultured pearls, 11 marquise diamonds (7.72 carats), 3 marquise diamonds (.88 carats) and 164 diamonds (42.3 carats). What a stunning necklace for anyone who loves pearls and diamonds! We think pearls and diamonds are a perfect combination. The pearls’ lustre easily complements the shimmer and shine in the diamonds. Catching the light in your eyes and the radiant glow in your skin with pearls and diamonds to accent any daytime or evening outfit.

Princess Diana was photographed at the performance of Swan Lake and this photograph was chosen as the cover for People Magazine’s Yearbook 1998. That year’s Yearbook also included a 10-page tribute to Princess Diana. It’s easy to see that for any Princess Diana fan or royal watcher, this lovely pearl and diamond necklace would be quite appealing to own – or even simply to have the chance to see the necklace at the auction. The auction will be held on Friday, September 24th at The Park Avenue Armory in New York City, New York.

The People’s Princess always looked stylish and elegant – whether dressed for a daytime or evening event. A fashion icon, many women admired and wanted to be as fashionable as Princess Diana.

Here are some of our favorite pearl fashion tips to look more like the royalty you are. We always knew you were a Princess or Queen!

Choose pearl jewelry that makes you feel good. Whether tiny seed pearls or large South Sea or Tahitian pearls – the pearl jewelry you are best wearing is the type that makes you feel great about yourself.

Every royal watcher knows that royalty has grace and elegance. While some may follow today’s fashion trends and others are more traditional and classic, every royal maintains that grace and elegance. Move gracefully by taking a ballet, pilates or yoga class.

Royals like Princess Diana knew that accessories should complement but never overwhelm. It is okay to choose bold and beautiful accessories but they should be part of your overall daytime or evening look.
