Pearl lovers won’t want to miss Christie’s auction in Dubai on April 20th. One of the world’s largest pearls will be up for auction, a reminder of the Emirate’s fine tradition of pearl diving.
Christie’s has a lovely showcase of stunning pearls,
diamonds, gemstones and gold jewelry before the sale for bidders and jewelry
lovers to enjoy. In Dubai
pearls are considered unique. But long ago – 100 years past - pearl hunting was
a large income producer.
This stunning pearl up for auction is considered to be one of the largest natural saltwater pearls recorded today. It is a drop shaped pearl, a silvery gray shade and is nearly 60 carats. This gorgeous pearl has been designed into a pendant with a diamond studded chain necklace. Christie’s auction house estimates the value of this pearl at a quarter of a million dollars. It is a very unique and rare item that any pearl lover simply would adore.
Just imagine wearing a beautiful 60 carat saltwater silvery
gray pearl around your neck! This is not the type of pearl pendant that you’ll
see everyday. One lucky bidder will go home with this beautiful pendant on

We think this pendant would especially be ideal to wear with evening wear or dressy casual outfits. The silvery gray color makes it lovely for elegant and sophisticated events – and is a very adaptable color that can easily compliment many ball gown and cocktail dress color combinations.
At the auction next month nearly 100 jewelry lots will be available at a value of 5 to 6.5 million dollars. There are many beautiful items but for pearl lovers – we know you’ll especially be looking at this lovely saltwater pearl, an item you simply won’t find everywhere.
If you adore pearls this auction is a must visit. It’s not everyday you’ll see a 60 carat pearl! For the pearl lover we think this auction is a wonderful occasion to enjoy. Remember to wear your favorite pearls to the auction!
